Tips for Weather With Rusty Connections

  1. Have students bring their Project Tornado booklets with them.
  2. Have students create questions before the connection.
  3. Bring a digital camera to the connection. Take a picture of the class with Rusty at the end of the session and email it to sphoward [at] esc12.net.

Weather With Rusty
Each year, Rusty Garrett visits schools across Central Texas to talk about tornado safety and hands out Project Tornado Booklets. The students are encouraged to take them home and share what they've learned with their families. Everyone needs to know what to do in case of a tornado.

KWTX and ESC Region 12 (Edlink12 Network) have partnered to bring you the Weather With Rusty  videoconference sessions. Through the use of interactive videoconference technology, students will participate in Project Tornado and interview Rusty Garrett to learn about storm safety and severe weather in Texas.
