Now, Go Tell Two Friends

Date June 26, 2007

Those of you who work as distance learning coordinators know that there really is no formal training available to teach us how to do our job.

There are technical trainings to learn how to run the equipment and Janine’s online courses that teach about creating projects and 123VC to immerse teachers into the videoconference/distance learning environment, but how do coordinators learn how to coordinate programs and what is available?

One way to learn is by blogging. I am excited because today I shared with two of my counterparts here in Texas the power of blogging and using bloglines as a reader. Look for an announcement before school begins with the name and URLs of their blogs and get ready to learn more about videoconferencing in Texas!

So, if you know someone who is coordinating some cool videoconferencing projects and is not yet blogging about it, schedule a couple of hours and teach them how to get started. I got started after reading Janine’s blog for months and then Rebecca and the CSD group started blogging this spring after reading our blogs this past year

Now, go and tell two friends and they will tell two friends and so on…and so on…and our people network will continue to flourish!

Roxanne,
You can tell more than 2 people….present again for our ESC Region XI Distance Learning Educator Conference on October 17, 2007! The CFP is open at http://esc.esc11.net/dlconference for you to submit. Hope you can make it again this year, you have so much to share!
