My First Texas History Mystery

Date May 2, 2007

I am moderating my first Texas History Mystery and I am nervous and excited at the same time. Thank you to Arnie Comer for the script…it makes sense to me and helps me be organized. Here is a sample script.pdf

We connected four schools from different regions in the state and we had a couple of weird technology things happen at the beginning, but they worked out. One school could not see video from any of the other sites, so we had them present first while the techs figured out what was going on.

As we begin conducting Texas History Mystery on a large scale within Texas we will have to refine our scheduling and connecting procedures. We had almost 60 classes connecting into this project in a three-day period with three different moderators. Some sites were a bit confused about procedures and connections, but we can improve on that next time.

The best way to learn how to do something is to do it! Thank you to Janine Lim for use of the MysteryQuest materials and to Arnie Comer for the script.
